Collection: The Color White

White is the source of all colors. In the color spectrum, from white derive, we can derive seven main colors. And when those seven colors are mixed together, we get the white color. Thus, white has a special place among colors. In the Quran, “to be white” is expressed by the word “abyad”.

The numerical value of this word is 813 (this is based on the concept used by Arabs whereby every letter can be represented by a numerical value). If we add up the numbers of the verses where the color white is mentioned in all its derivatives, the total will also amazingly be 813!
