Collection: Frontal Lobe
In Surah(Chapter) Al-Alaq of the Quran, there's a verse that warns a man named Abu Jahl, stating, "No indeed! if he does not stop, We will seize him by the forehead, his lying, sinful forehead” (Quran, 96:15-16). This reference to the forehead is intriguing when considered in light of modern neuroscience. The prefrontal cortex, located in the frontal area of the brain, is known to be involved in behaviors like planning and lying. Studies have shown increased activity in this region during acts of deceit. The Quran's specific mention of the forehead in the context of lying and sinfulness is seen by some as aligning with the scientific understanding of the brain's functions, suggesting a deeper insight or knowledge within the Quranic text.
Or were they created by nothing, or are they [their own] creators?
[QURAN 52:35]
Or did they create the Heavens and the Earth? Rather, they are not certain.
[QURAN 52:36]
Or do they possess the treasuries of your Lord, or are they in control [of everything]?
[QURAN 52:37]
Or do they have a stairway [into the Heaven] upon which they listen? Then let their listener produce a clear proof.
[QURAN 52:38]
