Collection: Mountains Movement

Whole continents are moving. Mountains are constantly moving due to the slow but persistent movement of tectonic plates. You can also confirm it by doing an independent research.

Here's what Quran States 1400 years ago:

Surah: An-Naml

Verse: 88

 وَتَرَى الْجِبَالَ تَحْسَبُهَا جَامِدَةً وَهِيَ تَمُرُّ مَرَّ السَّحَابِ ۚ صُنْعَ اللَّهِ الَّذِي أَتْقَنَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ ۚ إِنَّهُ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا تَفْعَلُونَ

"You see the mountains and think they are firmly fixed: but they are moving away just like the clouds are moving away: (such is) the artistry of Allah, Who disposes of all things in perfect order: for He knows all what you do."

Allah uses the word "tamurru" (drifting) to describe the movement of the mountains. It is interesting that the term used by scientists today is “continental drift”. The word used by the Quran and the term scientists use is the same.
