We certainly left this as a sign. So is there anyone who will be mindful?

[Qur’ān 54:15]

Noah’s Ark — A Sign Preserved

Modern Discovery

The Qur’ān states that the Ark came to rest on Mount Jūdī (in present-day Turkey). Historical records, local traditions, and geological studies all point to a vessel-shaped structure in this very region.

Key Historical Facts

The Qur’ān describes how a great flood drowned the disbelievers, while Nūh and the believers were saved in the Ark.

Mount Jūdī has long been identified by local tradition as the Ark’s final resting place.

To this day, traces resembling a massive Ark-like formation remain in this area.

Qur’ānic Revelation 1400 years ago

“And it was said, ‘O earth, swallow your water, and O sky, withhold [your rain].’ The water subsided, the matter was accomplished, and the Ark came to rest on Mount Jūdī. And it was said, ‘Away with the wrongdoing people!’”

(Qur’ān 11:44)

“We certainly left it as a sign. So is there anyone who will be mindful?”

(Qur’ān 54:15)

Their Punishment

"Indeed, We sent Noah to his people, and he remained among them for a thousand years, less fifty. Then the Flood overtook them, while they persisted in wrongdoing."

"But We delivered him and those in the Ark, making it a sign for all people."

(Qur’ān 29:14 - 29:15)

Why this is a miracle

Over 1,400 years ago, the Qur’ān declared in bold, present words: “We left it as a sign.”

That means as long as the Qur’ān stands, the sign of the Ark’s resting place must remain — or else the verse would be proven false.

And indeed, the formation resembling the Ark still lies preserved, exactly as Allāh said, standing as a sign for anyone willing to reflect.

A Challenge for Anyone Reading

Allāh speaks in the present tense:

“We certainly left it as a sign. So is there anyone who will be mindful?”

(Qur’ān 54:15)

Over 1,400 years ago, the Qur’ān declared that the Ark was left as a sign. That means as long as the Qur’ān is recited, the trace of the Ark must remain — or the verse would be proven false.

Your challenge: Go ahead and erase it, bury it, or remove it from existence — if you can.

But you cannot — because Allāh is preserving this sign as proof of His Word.

And your other option? To erase the verse itself from the Qur’ān.

But you cannot do that either.

“None can change His words.”

(Qur’ān 6:115)

“He shows you His signs, so which of Allāh’s signs will you deny?”

(Qur’ān 40:81)

"So travel throughout the earth and see the fate of the deniers."

[Qur’ān 3:137]
“So away with the wrongdoing people!” (23:41)
