The Human Chromosome

The Qur’ān’s only chapter titled “The Human” (Surah Al-Insān, Chapter 76) contains astonishing numerical patterns that mirror the genetic structure of human beings. These patterns appear in exact alignment with the 23 haploid and 46 diploid chromosomes — the very foundation of human creation.

The Qur’ān contains a chapter uniquely titled “Al-Insān” (The Human) — Chapter 76.

Inside this chapter, the word “Human” appears only twice, both in verses 1 and 2.

These two verses reveal astonishing numerical precision:

1. 23 Unique Letters — Human Haploid Chromosomes

When counting all unique Arabic letters in these two verses, the total is 23 — the number of haploid human chromosomes.

No other pair of verses in the entire chapter produces this number.

2. 46 Letters — Human Diploid Chromosomes

From the very beginning of the chapter up to the second occurrence of the word “Human,” there are exactly 46 letters — matching the human diploid chromosome count.

3. 46 Occurrences of “Human” Before This Verse

From the beginning of the Qur’ān up to this verse in Surah 76, the word “Human” appears exactly 46 times.
